CHE 2-0 BOU (PL) – VOTING REPORT #5

THE INTRO

It’s four wins in four and twelve points in twelve for Chelsea who share the top for the league with Liverpool (and maybe Tottenham or Watford from tonight on) going into the first international break of the season. Let’s see who our voters’ first points of September went to, before they go on a two weeks vacation!

THE VOTING REPORT

ALEX GOLDBERG’s 10 points

  • Eden HAZARD — 5 points
  • Marcos ALONSO — 2 points
  • PEDRO — 1 point
  • Mateo KOVAČIĆ — 1 point
  • Olivier GIROUD — 1 point

Comment: “Hazard phenomenal again, Alonso useful in attack again, Kovačić the best midfielder and great sub appearances from Giroud and Pedro.”

BATSFLIP’s 10 points

  • Marcos ALONSO — 3 points
  • N’Golo KANTÉ — 2 points
  • Eden HAZARD — 2 points
  • PEDRO — 2 points
  • Mateo KOVAČIĆ — 1 point

Comment: “The defense will get better (it was shaky at time today), but our lack of goal scoring abilities and goal threats could be a real problem later in the season. Special mentions for Giroud who undoubtedly is the best striker at the club and Loftus-Cheek who, I thought, had a very promising and pleasant cameo.”

CHELSEA ACTIVITY’s 10 points

  • Eden HAZARD — 4 points
  • Olivier GIROUD — 3 points
  • Marcos ALONSO — 2 points
  • PEDRO — 1 point

Comment: “It sometimes feel like we’re never gonna score, but Giroud was the difference maker for me today. What a start for us under Sarri.”

COBHAM BLUES’s 10 points

  • PEDRO — 4 points
  • Eden HAZARD — 3 points
  • Marcos ALONSO — 1 point
  • Mateo KOVAČIĆ — 1 point
  • Olivier GIROUD — 1 point

Comment: “Hazard probably had more impact over 90 minutes, but Pedro and Giroud changed the game. Alonso good again. Lots of room to improve overall, but promising stuff.”

  • Eden HAZARD — 3 points
  • PEDRO — 3 points
  • Olivier GIROUD — 2 points
  • Antonio RÜDIGER — 1 point
  • Marcos ALONSO — 1 point

Comment: “Couldn’t have asked for better start to the season. Game was turning into a bit of slog until subs Giroud and Pedro changed the game. To be winning whilst still learning in a new system is a skill.”

FLICKSLIKEEDEN’s 10 points

  • Eden HAZARD — 4 points
  • N’Golo KANTÉ — 3 points
  • Marcos ALONSO — 1 point
  • PEDRO — 1 point

  • Eden HAZARD — 2 points
  • Mateo KOVAČIĆ — 2 points
  • JORGINHO — 1 point

  • Marcos ALONSO — 3 points
  • Eden HAZARD — 3 points
  • PEDRO — 2 points
  • N’Golo KANTÉ — 1 point
  • Mateo KOVAČIĆ — 1 point

Comment: “Good performance overall, but clear lack of defensive organisation and efficiency up-front. A small things seems to be missing in our midfield, but that’s not and issue at all. Come on you, Blues!”
